Have you ever imagine living in another epoch? Well, I imagine it. I would like to live between the 1800 and 1900. I think between those years was a great idea to live because there were a lot of scientific discoveries and development of medicine and more technology in those days.
I’m going to tell you the most interesting person that I’ve ever met. She is so interesting that you won’t get bored. That person is my grandma. Her name is María Sara Lara y Cerón was born in June 20th, 1940 in Mexico City. Her childhood was happy and at the same time hard because her family didn’t have enough money but she was a happy and lovely girl. Since a child, she played volleyball and was really good playing. Her first job was as a secretary at 13 years old. A volleyball team called Las Margaritas pre-selected her to play at the District Championship. She was married with Mario Guadalupe Castañón Huerta, my grandpa, and they had 5 sons and 5 daughters nut a son and a daughter died when they were born. Her brothers and sisters didn’t support her.
At the age of 37, my grandpa had a sickness called aneurysm. My grandma’s parents died, she suffered because and because of that she had to take care of her brother Moisés, he was 22 years old. Since those situations, she had to work really had to take care of her 8 sons and daughters, her brother and her invalid husband alone. She had to live her 8 sons and daughters with other people because every day from Escandón to the National Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgeon for 1 year went with my grandpa for his rehabilitations, an ambulance took him from one place to another.
She had to work all day so she introduced her children to an in-house school where they gave the, breakfast, meal and extracurricular activities. She achieved to get an apartment, because of her job she could get food for her children and she could introduced her 8 sons and daughters to a private high school and university with a complete scholarship, thanks of the headmistress and owner of the school. She always gave them a good education and do it excellent. She achieved to introduced her 4 sons to play soccer in basic forces. She taught her sons and daughters to make sports.
When she became grandmother, she realized how many time she didn’t spend with her sons and daughters, so she spend it with her grandchildren. She achieved making one grandson an international dancer and one granddaughter a soccer player. Now, she has 2 great-grandchildren. At her 80 years, she stills working at the Hospital General de México, goes to dance classes and she’s a great grandmother.
No one compares to her because she’s really happy, enjoy the best of life and is the most noble person in the world. That’s why I admire her and love her a lot.
